Cycled part of the Reliability Route early this morning. Had hoped - TopicsExpress

Cycled part of the Reliability Route early this morning. Had hoped to do all of it but family commitments meant otherwise. My personal thoughts are that the road between Kinlet and the B4364 from Baginswood is too dangerous for a group ride. Firstly, the road is very narrow in places - about the width of Stanley Lane by Severn Hall if you know that stretch, but there are also various blind bends/ corners. However, my main concern is the road surface on this section. Its riddled with potholes and covered in debris. Admittedly early this morning there was plenty of ice which didnt help but as a solo rider I was having to take evasive action to avoid large sections of potholes that were both deep and wide and Im not sure how this would work riding in a group and at greater speed. Others may have a different view if youve ridden it but my personal view is its unsafe. A shame as the view up to the Clee was fantastic.
