Cyclone HudHud Humanity Road disaster desk activated to assess early activity on Cyclone HudHud in the Bay of Bengal as it approached the east coast of India. Cyclone Hud Hud packed maximum sustained winds of 125 mph, making it the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane. About 400,000 people in 397 villages in 5 districts along the coast in the state of Andhra Pradesh were ordered to evacuate. Humanity Road volunteers created an early situation report with officials, links and social media accounts active for this storm as well as information and agencies about for vulnerable populations.
