High Functional System vs Low Functional System As an Asperger - TopicsExpress

High Functional System vs Low Functional System As an Asperger i am experimenting the difference between our innate High Functioning Brain and the normal brain. This brought me to learn that neurotipical system is based upon a huge research process to find and collect informations to then be able to plan some actions to reach certain goals. All these phases, technically part of the so called project management process, very commonly used in ordinary life by NT people without actually knowing it, is one of the core skills that Aspergers miss totally. As This process requires the ability to communicate effectively informations, knowing how to ask and how to give them effectively, being able to relate with other individuals to build useful and trustful relationships so to be part of an aknowledged system, Asperger become totally cut out for lack of skills. As a plus, as Aspergers are mainly using their Hyperfocus and High Functioning brain, this other asset of abilities is never deveoped unless they become committed to learn it properly. High Functioning is thus a mental process that goes totally in the opposite side of what an NT system requires, it is pretty much narrow minded, very focused on non selecting, collecting, analyzing, elaborating a huge amount of informations but eventually go out and search just for what is needed, independently from the value of it, just to fulfill the purpose of completing a high functioning process. Perfectionism is then the asset of an Asperger mind, and extreme cleverness and sense of urgency and high quality way of performing. It is a very interesting issue, but as far as I have seen with myself, it is possible to train the missing skills and eventually be able to correctly move inside the NT system even if not in a highly competitive way. Still remains fundamental understanding the real powerful asset of Asperger brain, focused but also extremely creative in finding new solutions, setting up new boundaries and shaking totally the rules the NT world is build upon. Both abilities, high and low functioning, as i have called them, are actually two different approaches to the reality, but is becoming clear that to relate with an NT system Aspergers have to learn the missing skills. Sense of frustration and sense of inadequacy, as well as sense of intolerance is a first group of reactions that inevitably has to lead the Asperger individual to a change. This change is the acquisition of New Skills and a wider way of be part of a still existing system.
