D.P. Adams (Dennis) and C.F. Cole operated a plumbing store located at 1115 3rd Ave in The 1880’s. The store was in the Molter Building, across 3rd Ave from the Masonic Temple. T.S. Garland (Thomas) was a partner in the Garland and Valentine Dry Goods business at 946 3rd Ave. James T. Hoback was a builder. The store was out of business by 1900. At the time of the picture, Dennis was 75, years old (who lived to be over 90 years old), Thomas was 50 and James was 48 (who died a year after the picture was taken). In 1888. The old D.P.
