D5185 (25035) was started today after some 3.5 years since the power unit was last run. This effort was to aid continuing tests of the electrics after its extensive rewire. Much work remains to be done before the Class 25 will be serviceable once more and as expected a couple of minor niggles were found during todays start up. The Class 25 will not used during the up coming GCR diesel event at the end of the month but as ever will the machine can be viewed in Loughborough Yard.
