DAILY MORNING DEVOTIONAL INSIGHT Tuesday 9 December, 2014 TOPIC: keep on to Move on! BIBLE VERSES: Proverbs 24:10: If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Adversity isnt the end of the road. Adversity rather gives us direction in life. It makes us to appreciate life. It forms the background of life that gives life meaning and usefulness. We wouldnt have appreciated light, if not for the darkness that is at its background. Theres always a darkness at the background of every light that gives the light a meaning, without which, there will be no light, such is adversity to life. Its adversity that makes us appreciate life prosperity. Over time, Ive wondered why people who are seen as well off and trained with a golden spoon, commit suicide, while people, who pass through jeopardy and agony struggle for life, when we expect them to opt for death. The answer is because adversity makes one to appreciate life. A person, who is only pampered all through his life loses a sense of comparison, as such, loses the sense or definition of goodness. This is because he lacks the negative background that would have made him to appreciate what he has. If you have never been poor, you will not appreciate being rich, because itll not make any difference to you. Beloved, adversity isnt to kill you. It doesnt show that God hates you. Granted, its never easy to go through it. However, you have the ability to come out of it victoriously. 1 Corinthians 10:13: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Its not time to back out of life. Persistence is the ability to stick to something you are not stuck on. Abraham Lincoln failed in business 1831, defeated for legislature in 1832, failed again in business in 1832, suffered a nervous breakdown in 1836, defeated for speaker in 1838, defeated for elector in 1840, defeated for Congress in 1843, defeated again for Congress in 1848, defeated for Senate in 1855, defeated for vice president in 1856, defeated for Senate in 1858, elected president in 1860. Nothing is impossible to a willing soul. PRAYER: Father, help me to keep on holding on in Jesus name, amen. ACTION POINT: Dont allow what you go through now to weigh you down. Get up and begin to work. STUDY Job 3 Micah 2 Hebrews 8 PLS SHARE WITH OTHERS.
