DAILY READINGS - TUESDAY The Disciples arrive at the Tomb ... ... Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the Tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying....... Finally the other disciple, who had reached the Tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead). Jn 20 v 3-9 Perhaps John did not enter the tomb because he was stunned at the scene before him. The neat orderly arrangement of the grave clothes showed that this was no ordinary grave robbery and that something absolutely unique had happened in that now-empty tomb. John believed the resurrection – that Jesus was, in fact, alive. Father, we praise you that you are far, far greater than we can ever understand. You are our God and there is no other.
