Hey, New Englanders! Any one know what nasty insect leaves a bite like the one in the photos? I mean, Ive been bitten and had allergic reactions to a gazillion flying things, but Ive never seen anything like this. I wish it would get a big whitehead on it so I could pop it, but, come to think of it, probably not a good idea. Doesnt really itch...hard to describe, feels like a tightening... And if you know what this one is, I have about 20 other bites that I cant identify, but this is the oddest what with its rose shape and color. If its the beginning of some kind of H. P. Lovecraft-type invasion, please be kind; and, for the record (Matthew Bloomfield), Id prefer being locked in the attic rather than the cellar.
