DAILY SPIRITUAL FOOD; ARE WE TRULY READY? We have studied, we have meditated on Gods word. In fact we do a lot for the Lord every other day ; we preach, we exalt, we evangelize and win souls for the Lord, we follow them up making sure they are well guided and tutored in the things of the Kingdom. Teaching them to practice external and internal holiness through the help of the Holy Spirit of God. All these are fine and necessary, thank God for these efforts. There are many more, like being a church worker, a coordinator of one affair or the other and other leadership roles in the church. We sing with Angelic voices, lead in choruses, speak in tongues, prophesy, spend quality time in prayers, always available whenever you are called upon, sponsor church programmes. But the big question today starting from my very self is, ARE WE ACTUALLY READY FOR RAPTURE? or peradventure death occurs, can we make it? God save us in Jesus name amen. Basically I would want us to be honest today and ask ourselves in our inner heart or in our private prayer etc. Am I truly heaven ready? What I know and proclaim do I practice them in the open and in the secret? “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Luke 6:46 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. John 14:15 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 Scriptural Search- Romans 2:13, Luke 11:28 The word of God is a message to obey, not just to listen to. So lets get rid of all that is wrong in our lives both inside and outside. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.James 1:21 Paul was very honest when he in Romans 7:15 said that he does not understand himself at all because he really want to do what is right, but he cant but rather finds himself doing the opposite. Paul though did not mean that men are not accountable for their sins. He rather teaches and exposes the evil of our sins.Let us not allow sin to either dwell in us or have dominion over us. In Philippians 3:12, He also mentioned that he does not mean to say that he is perfect. I havent learnt all I should he said. But one thing he maintained is that he keeps working towards that t day. But how we work towards that is very important to note and watch. God forbid that we should preach to others to repentance and later be a cast away in Jesus name Amen. Depart, depart, go out from there; touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.Isaiah 52:11 Let us therefore carefully remember all the time weve told lies deceitfully. Let us remember the time we criticized Gods work, how can we do this by criticizing someones nature or structure etc. Let us remember all the time weve failed God Let us remember all the time we were unfaithful . Let us remember all the time we have cheated, hated, became jealous, abused someone, thrown someone out of our life. looked at things we should not look at,go to places we should not go,stolen, betrayed, accused falsely, turned away from someone in need, prided ourselves, denied someone food while hungry,sick and we never cared,needed clothing and turned a blind eye, let us remember the time we didnt forgive and forget, kept malice. The time we dressed worldly, putting on the right attire though, but below the genuine believers standards. Remember those things you know that are not right which we still stubbornly use to beautify our hair, though natural but ungodly, hair properties, unacceptable hair bands etc. wearing wigs to cover your natural weaved hair. Adding unnoticeable extensions to make your hair fuller or longer, secret blowouts, dying of hair to appear younger, tanning your skin for a fresher look, you may not obviously bleach your skin but it attracts the same punishment. Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.Jeremiah 13:23 Wearing short skirts/dress above your knee level may not be so good for a child of God. They may appear cute or current to worldly standards and spiritually blind eyes no doubt, but before God they are sinful. Wearing see-through blouses or dresses that exposes your armpits or the greater part of of your hand. Ungodly dressings must not only have to be make-ups, attachments or trousers alone. A little leaven, the bible says, leavens the whole lump. Galatians 5:9 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 1 Corinthians 5:6 Those little foxes that spoil our Christian vines must be spotted. Catch the foxes[a] for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”Songs of Solomon 2:15 It doesnt matter sins do not only apply to unbelievers alone, but to the believers alike. Lets not hide under the cloak of a believer and engage in some little sins. All unrighteousness is sin. 1 John 5:17. If you keep the whole laws and yet offend in one you have offended in all. James 2:10. A little gossip you do even with your parents, siblings or husband is like every other gossip you may do with any one else. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this persons religion is worthless.James 1:26 For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!James 3:2,5 Let us sit up today regardless of how difficult it may look, what people around may say about us, what we will look like if we truly follow heavenly pattern. It may appear difficult but remember that Jesus took more of the sufferings for our sake. Even as the son of God, he finds it not robbery to equal himself with God. who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[a] being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name Philippians 2:6-9 He never complained, murmured or puffed up by saying, oh I am this, I am that, educated, well positioned, tall or short, rich or influential but he rather humbled himself to the shameful death for the sin he never committed. He never cared what or how anyone may see him. He was bent on pleasing God because he knew that eternal life in Heaven is much much better and awaiting him after this short life on earth. Why can we not reason like Jesus today. Hebrews 11:14 And quiet obviously Jesus took a shameful death on the cross Hebrews 12:2, because of the joy he knew he would be his afterwards, and now he sits in the place of Honor by the throne of God, think about His patience. Let us keep on going strong for the Lord so we can settle eventually for those heavenly blessings awaiting us in Heaven. By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.Hebrews 11;27 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1 Take away those things, friends, relations, colleagues, that will slow you down/hold you back . Avoid everything that looks like or have the appearance of sin/worldliness. Abstain from every form of evil.1 Thessalonians 5:22 Especially those sins that wrap themselves so highly around your feet. Focus your eyes on Jesus, our role model. There was a time Jesus stood alone in a way, even his own brothers mocked him. In the mist of unbelieving Jews he was seen as mad, weird, old fashioned man that never read, indeed, the son of an ordinary carpenter, yet he was chosen by God. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are. 1 Corinthians 1:28 Dont be surprised that in a whole gathering, in schools, offices, meetings, etc Sometimes you may be the only genuine believer, though well dressed, but looking different from others. Comments may go round, but remember many are called but few are chosen, stand firm like Jesus, Moses, Joseph, Paul, the twelve apostles Mary Magdalene,Deborah, Sarah did because they hoped for better home in heaven. Today their generation is gone, if they had cared about words and the persecutions from the people around them and ignored the narrow way to heaven, the broad way to hell which many love to walk through would have led them to hell. Thank God for their patience and endurance. So lets stand firm and avoid having shaky legs. let us mark out a smooth part for our feet, so that those who follow us will not fall and we ourselves will not fall in Jesus name Amen. Remember salvation is a personal race. If I had known is always a late and helpless cry. Prayer Points. 1) I loose myself from the evil spirit of this age in Jesus name,Amen. 2) Father show us your ways and teach us wisdom in Jesus name,Amen. 3) Lead us in your truth and righteousness in Jesus name,Amen.
