DAILY SPIRITUAL FOOD; An Exhortation To Search The Holy Scriptures For Eternal Life; You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. John 5;39-40 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.2 Timothy 2;15 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.2 Timothy 3;14-17 Jesus represents the holy scriptures -the living and unfailing word of God.The Bible,the written will and mind of a holy God,succinctly unveils this divine revelation in various sections of the holy book and thus commands every heaven-bound christian believers to embrace the life transforming/changing words of God. Apostle John writing under divine unction, unveils this mystery in this light; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1;1-5,14 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had[e] a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.Revelation 19;11-13 Friends, Jesus is the living, spiritual bread which God sends to the world of thick darkness so as to replace death(sin) with the divine life God alone offers. Salvation which leads to a glorious eternal life in heaven is gained/obtained only by eating and living out the living bread-the wholesome,undiluted and life - transforming word of God. Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.John 6;32-35 Friends, we have been washed,saved and been sustained/upheld by the living word of God. It helps us grow into full blown christian/spiritual maturity. When we stop eating and applying/practicing the living word of God into our daily christian lives,we start loosing our spiritual weight/life/substance and as a result our spiritual eyes/sensitivity begin to wear ;This makes our sense of judgement becomes adversely affected. We are scripturally commanded by God to feed tirelessly on the holy scriptures so we can attain unto full blown christian maturity in faithfulness,absolute obedience,Holiness,consecration,sanctification and purity of life. This way we will not be deceived by satan and his deceptions dangerous doctrines and lies. ..as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,..1 Peter 2;2 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[g] has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6;27,47-51(psalm 1;1-3;Luke 10;42;Joshua 1;8) I pray for every one of us now, who have enjoyed the saving grace of God, to receive the sustained enthusiasm to continue the faithful study and practical application of Gods sustaining word of life into our daily christian lives.Receive that grace now in Jesus precious name//Amen.
