*** DAISY IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION TONIGHT *** A volunteer writes: Daisys official notes may say shes a plain old brown and white dog but the admiring double-takes we garner during our walk suggest otherwise and this friendly, energetic girl sure aint no wallflower! A unique and appealing jewel with russet fur the color of autumn foliage and eyes like shiny copper pennies, Daisy just loves to explore and her bright gaze takes in everything from the crunchy leaves underfoot to the pesky squirrels overhead - like a true New Yorker shes always on the lookout for the next big thing! A good leash walker and apparently house trained, Daisy knows how to sit politely on command for treats or toys and even when playing around with a stick, her mouth remains soft and her manners never anything but calm and friendly. Sweet as she is with humans, Daisy can become quite agitated around other dogs and her penchant for squirrel chasing suggests she might not be too keen on smaller critters either. She actually performed well in the dog-greeting section of her behavior assessment (and all the other parts too!) so with time, patience and some experienced parental guidance, could very well be taught to get along with her fellow canines in a more appropriate way. After all, this one-year-old beauty is only just out of puppyhood and despite her many impressive accomplishments, she still needs Mommy or Daddy to hold her paw and let her know that everythings going to be alright.
