DANIEL TRUSTS IN GOD (Daniel Chapter 6) King Darius About 2500 years ago, a king named Darius decided to divide his kingdom into 120 parts. He chose leaders to rule over each part and he chose three presidents to rule over the leaders. One of the three presidents was Daniel, a man who loved and served God with his whole heart. Daniel talked to God, continually. Daniel stood out more than the other presidents because of his exceptional qualities, he had a wise and good spirit in him. Because Daniel had a good heart King Darius planned to set Daniel over the whole kingdom. Then the other presidents tried to find something that Daniel was doing that did not please the king. But, they could not find anything that Daniel was doing wrong. Daniel was faithful and there was no error in him. Daniel was a man that could be trusted and he did not have any evil in him nor was he negligent, he always did what was right in the eyes of God. So these evil men said that they would not be able to find anything that Daniel was doing wrong that did not please the king, unless it was about how Daniel prayed and served his God. The king signs a new law. So they went to the king and asked him to make and sign a law that any person who prays to any god or man for the next thirty days, except to the king himself, will be put into a den of lions. Because the king did not know the evil that these men were planning against Daniel he signed the law that nobody, not even the king himself could change. (WILL THEY CALL THEIR SON DANIEL?)
