DAY 12 - OUT OF CONTEXT When my heart was embittered and I was pierced with in, then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. (Ps 73:21 NAS) Here’s an example of what happens when you’re not in His Presence, when you’re not Living Life in Context. With an embittered heart, you become senseless and ignorant. As I said way back on Day 3, To not be before the Lord leaves us to our own devices, prejudices, misunderstandings, foolish thinking, sinful nature, bad attitude, and wrong actions. The good news is He draws us back to Himself. The next verse says, Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. You may have gotten distracted, you may have taken a detour, but He still has hold of your hand. You must remember, Living Life in Context is not just about location, it’s also about exclusivity. After being found in his right mind and understanding that his God is always with him, always close, the Psalmist examines his commitment and proclaims, Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Read Psalm 73:21-28
