DAY 2 - I am grateful for...Health and Wellness Wellness has been the predominant theme for me recently as I prepare for this weekend’s health festival. It’s really been the theme for me for these last few years, and with the way things are going, it will be my life’s theme. So I will be grateful today in terms of my favorite formula for wellness: 1. Work it - I am grateful that I am able to exercise and that my very first trainer at LA Fitness asked me this question three years ago - “Do you want to come work out or make fitness a lifestyle?” I chose lifestyle and have never looked back. 2. Feed it - I am grateful that I learned how to eat well. First it was just to lose weight, but then it was about wellness and getting maximum results (a special gratitude shout out to Angies Way Nutrition Consultants!!). Some call me obsessed about eating clean. I call it dedicated. 3. Rest it - I am grateful that I am able to get the hours of sleep I need, including regular naps. But more than sleep, rest is about enjoying life while living with minimal stress. I am grateful to all the forces of the universe that got me out of the rat race and into the human race. 4. Believe it - Belief is powerful. Without it, none of the above are going to work for long. The body hears everything the mind says. I am grateful that I believe, that I am an optimist, and that I have a positive attitude. But belief alone does not bring success. It requires hard work, dedication, and practice, practice, practice. With this cycle of belief and practice, I can achieve. Work it. Feed it. Rest it. Believe it. Every. Single. Day.
