DAY TRIPS TO CHICAGO: DONT LET THE DISTANCE HOLD YOU BACK FROM MAKING MOVES! This is one way to do it and not spend a mint for parking....Drive to Michigan City, IN Carroll Avenue Station (NOTE: 1 hour behind MI time) and park for FREE and catch the commuter train to Millennium Station (Downtown Chicago)... catch a cab to where you need to go from there. OR WALK Trust me this is a lot cheaper than driving and parking in downtown Chicago. The commuter train leaves back to this location all times of the day...AND the best thing you can come back LATE like they have returning times East Bound after 5 pm at 05:10, 5:28, 05:58,07:10, 08:40,11:00, 12:45AM ...and the cost is only $8.50 one way....and you do NOT have to prepurchase tickets....so you can make last minute trips. Think about this if you need to run to Chicago for a casting call....it is really not that hard and is affordable....
