#DAYS OF MY LIFE - PART 3# October is the month of my birth. A time to reflect and share on my life. A time to testify of JESUS. As i said it in PART 2 of DAYS OF MY LIFE, the first miracle of JESUS in my life was my miraculous and hectic birth that stirred a whole maternity ward. Despite being prematurely born when my mother was only 7 months pregnant, it pleased the Lord that I would live because He had a purpose. Later on, I regularly fell sick in my early childhood. I would be hospitalized almost every 3 months. By that time, my parents had not yet been born again and my condition was a rampant source of stress to them. The fight was not carnal but spiritual. Just like Pharaoh tried to kill baby boy Moses, just like Herod tried to slaughter baby boy JESUS, so, after failing to kill me at my birth, satan had vowed to finish me off in other ways. But the Lord was covering me with His Hand. At age 3, I stayed with my parents and my 6 year-old elder brother in a flat located in 2 storey residential building. One afternoon, I was playing at the back of the building whose neighbourhood was partly bushy. As I was crawling and walking to and fro, I came closer to the bush...Then, suddenly, a snake sprang out of the bush and stood about 5 meters away from where i was. In my childish thinking, I assumed the snake to be a friendly and living toy and was on the brink of approaching it. The snake stood still waiting on my move. The Lord intervened in another way! At the same moment, my elder brother (who was walking down the stairs) saw me approaching the creature and alerted the building with screams...Things happened within an instant...The snake stood still. A neighbour grabbed one of the big stones lying on the ground; then, with his foot, he pushed me aside like a ball and crushed the snakes head...Folks swarmed and stoned the snake to death...Within minutes, the dead snake was covered with stones. After the incident, the management of the building took preventive measures to keep the premises safe. Satan had failed again! The Lord covered me again with His Hand. I dont believe that the snake stood still because it wanted to but there was a divine and supernatural power that kept it still until a neighbour threw the first stone. After my miraculous birth, the Lord still had a purpose. I would like to tell somebody that if JESUS did it for baby boy Victor, if can also do it for your children. Children are a blessing from the Lord. No matter how cautious you may be, you cannot protect your children but the Lord can because He knows the plans that He has for them. Do not be selfish by always praying only for yourself. Pray without ceasing for your children. Fast for your children. Lay hands on them and teach them the ways of the Lord. They are constantly under attack and exposed to the wiles of satan. Some christians grumble at the Lord when they go through tough times. Do you know how many times He saved your life when you are still a child? Later at age 14, in my family, I was the first person to meet JESUS and it is through me that they met Him. The Lord can use your children in your life! Because JESUS did it for me and my parents that day, I pray that He shall do it for you and your children as well. NO WEAPON FORGED AGAINST YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN SHALL PROSPER!! [More to come...To be continued]
