DBRG... Friday – 1 Corinthians 16.19-24 - The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord. 20 All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. 21 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. 22 If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come! 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. Meditation: Lastly, the church is supposed to treasure each other. We are to treasure other churches like the churches of Asia treasured Corinth. There should not be a sense of combat with other churches, but mutual love. But what about our church family? We are to treasure those within our own church by having genuine affection for each other. And we do these things not because it will attract people or even keep people (although it will) but because we love our Savior. Our love for one another is born out of our united love for Christ. Without Christ, we are accursed. In Christ, we have together found grace and love. Do you treasure the people that God has brought into your church life? May we be churches that work to have genuine affection for one another. And that we would be on our faces begging for God to make us a church that cherishes each other. Pray that God would give you a passion for his church which includes a passion for the people he’s put in it.
