DC Trip, Day Three by Nora M. 18: Today we spent the morning at Mount Vernon. We toured the house and saw an instructional movie. After that, we were allowed to wander and many of us enjoyed the magnificent nature trail, the cute live stock and the picturesque grounds/gardens. After lunch we visited Capitol Hill and the National Library. After that, we enjoyed a couple of hours at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Finally, we visited the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial and the Korean Memorial. All three were full of symbolism and beautifully represented ideas. Tomorrow we look forward to touring UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia.
