DC WIKI- BIZARRO Bizarro is an imperfect duplicate of Superman. Everything Bizarro does is deliberately backwards or the opposite of normal. Bizarro possesses all of the powers of Superman, but several of these powers manifest as the opposite of Supermans. He is superhumanly strong and invulnerable, and capable of flight and superhuman speed, as well as possessing enhanced senses. His eyes emit freeze rays as opposed to Supermans heat vision, he is only capable of x-ray vision through lead, and he breathes flame in opposition to Supermans freeze breath, among other opposites. Under a blue sun he develops Bizarro Vision, the ability to create new Bizarro-like duplicate characters. In Smallvillie, his heat vision spurts out more erratically than Clarks does and it appears to heat the air to the point of ionization, with lightning-like bolts suggesting that it is hotter. However Bizarros heat vision seems to exert less physical force than Clarks and appears as orange fire than the red waves of heat emitted by normal Kryptonians. This also applies to weaknesses, as Bizarro is vulnerable to blue kryptonite, as opposed to green kryptonite, which is lethal to Superman. Bizarro is actually strengthened by green kryptonite as opposed to blue kryptonite. He can absorb and metabolize the radiation of Green kryptonite in the same manner that normal Kryptonians absorb yellow sunlight. The metabolization of kryptonite is probably a continuous process rather than an abrupt one, given the fact that Bizarros flesh appeared green after absorbing large amounts of green kryptonite. Bizarro showed himself capable of absorbing massive amounts of this radiation which, one can assume, fuelled his powers in a similar way to how Solar energy fuelled Clarks. Nevertheless, the energy absorption was depicted as somewhat overwhelming for Bizarro in contrast to Clarks harmless absorption of yellow sunlight implying that Bizarro is able to derive more energy from it. Furthermore, the absorption process seems to require a certain proximity to kryptonite but no direct contact. In Persona, he stated that the absorption process is at least largely involuntary.
