DC prohibits Poppy cultivation YINGKIONG, Aug 28: Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner issued an executive order prohibiting cultivation of Poppy/Opium in various villages in the district. The Deputy Commissioner also advised all HGBs/GBs of Upper Siang district to keep strict vigil on cultivation of Poppy and report any violation to the District authority through their respective Administrative Officers.
