DC reviews arrangements for parliamentary elections 10 days training camps would be held at Sgr SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 01: To ensure hassle free and fair Parliamentary elections, a meeting of officers was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah who is also District Election Officer here today. The meeting was attended by the officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Higher Education, Agriculture and other concerned departments. It was given out in the meeting that to ensure hassle free polling in upcoming Parliamentary elections, 10 days election training camps would be held in various city colleges which will commence from February 05 to 15, 2014 from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. The training camps would be held at S.P College, Amar Singh College and Degree College Bemina. The meeting was told that every possible facility would be provided to the trainees during the training course including proper public address system, PowerPoint projectors and adequate power supply to ensure successful training camps. The meeting was also told that the heating arrangements will be provided from the DC Office, Srinagar. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned College Principals to depute class IV employees in the said training centres. Mr. Shah also deputed Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Nazool and Secretary SMC as Incharge officers of the training camp. He also directed the District Police authorities to make proper security arrangements during the training course. The Deputy Commissioner said that three master trainees will impart training at each venue daily regarding collection of poll material, setting up of polling stations and EVMs, commencement and conduct of poll and closing of poll. He also said that trainess will be given awareness through PowerPoint Presentations and directed for covering of all training programmes through video recording.
