DCCU FAN CASTING Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke I was thinking about this last night, who besides all these older actors that have been fancast and rumored to play Deathstroke would make sense? Looking at Deathstroke overall and not looking at age (the serum slowed his aging down anyway) I started looking for similarities that an actor could easily portray. Ron Perlman is too old and too out of shape in his 60s that getting into shape to do anything but Deathstrokes voice seem unrealistic. Stephen Lang has always been my first choice as a one-shot Deathstroke. His looks and acting ability fit the bill, but I doubt Warner Bros will go for an actor who stands a small chance at reprising the role due to age. Brad Pitt could play the character very well but he might cost too much and hes also not that tall. Camera angles would have to play a part in making him look bigger. The same could be said about the recently rumored Aidan Gillen. Hes a great actor who could handle the role but him being under six feet tall, theyd have to use camera angle like Vin Diesel has to do in almost every movie hes ever done to look bigger. Which brings me to Joe Manganiello. Thats right, the guy who played Flash Thompson in the first Spider-Man movie. Hes 65 and already built like a comic book character. At age 37, he could play the part long term. His hair is already going gray so he could play older than his age, especially a character that ages slowly do to being a failed experiment. For people who dont know, he can actually act too. His time on HBOs True Blood shows that. ☆Slade
