***DEAL of the day*** (3.99-->1.99) Hop on Pop by Dr Seuss is a fun app for early readers. The reader is able to choose to have the narrator read the book; or read it themselves. As with many Dr Seuss books, Hop on Pop is full of rhyming words which reinforces to young readers that there are patterns in many words which enables you to sound them out more easily. The text is highlighted as the narrator reads, thereby reinforcing word recognition. The pictures on the page are interactive, so as the child touches the words they are read aloud and are simultaneously displayed in written form. The final page of the book is full of all the rhyming words in the story which is a good tool for the revision of pattern words.
