DEAR BOOK MARKETING COMPANY, After reading your e-mail this - TopicsExpress

DEAR BOOK MARKETING COMPANY, After reading your e-mail this morning suggesting I use your company to pimp my book, I wish Id put my address on the Do NOT SPAM list. First things first. Pimps are bad even though current fads paint anything thats badass as good. That said, I dont want my book to be just another scantily clad tease in your stable of novels. My books are for people who want to make a long-term reading commitment rather than going to a motel with a novel for a wild night of page turning before going back to their regular books the next day. Sure, sneaking into a motel with a book might satisfy ones reading needs for the evening, but they wont respect the book in the morning. If I were selling my books on a street corner in the local hoe stroll district, Id fancy the renegade approach so that my book could keep all of its date money. I dont need a gorilla daddy kicking my book around every night for not meeting quota, much less taking an even bigger cut than an agent. Yours truly, &c.
