DEBATE NIGHT CANDIDATES Interesting debate night and very enlightening I must say. Elias Chipimo in my opinion was a clear winner with Edith Nawakwi in second position. These two were very articulate and we need to put a close eye on them for the future. HH was very clear on certain issues but he failed to demonstrate why he is one of the front runners in this election. Talking about pangas was a bit off on the night as well as those lines on fuel reduction. Everyone is aware of the plummeting fuel prices on the international market and to claim that the reduction is as a result of pressure from his party, for me that was cheap politicking. It’s not a public rally, but an opportunity to capture that audience in those intellectual lenses. Nevers very eloquent as expected but he equally didn’t rise to the occasion. Dr Mumba is a very intelligent man but he didn’t prepare well for that debate. Sinkamba was more of a comedian. I’ve been wondering how he found himself on the ballot paper in a land where marijuana is illegal. Legalizing an illegal activity? MODERATOR That platform was too big for young Costa Mwansa and was wondering what this debate was trying to achieve. Was it a platform for the few viewers and listeners to analyze these candidates or just having a goal at a debate… Naifwe Twesheko? We have a new transition leader next week and no one from the moderator to the candidates was able to connect their agenda to the fact that it’s just on interim basis, there a big one coming in 2016. Mr Denis Wood would have helped matters here. BRANDING Along with the technical glitches that are now a common place occurrence at most Zambian events, the branding was awful. That debate was a very important platform for everyone that was involved and to setup podiums with dangling microphone cables and poor choice of colors on the night was a miss for me. Elias Chipimo congratulations, youre the future......
