DEBBIE AND I MARRIED IN 1987 AND PUT TWO - TopicsExpress

DEBBIE AND I MARRIED IN 1987 AND PUT TWO FAMILIES..... together, two sets of children. It became a hers, mine and ours family. We knew we had challenges. We decided to use the Universal Church as a template for our family. The principles of Divine Authority, submission, unity, humility, Agape love, and Covenant all would need to be manifested. We each had step children. We covenanted for each others children. In our hearts, each one would consider the others children our own. Not legally in mans law, but spiritually. This was discussed, planned and prayed over. Jesus told His followers that Spirit was stronger than blood. It was no longer hers, mine and ours. We were all one in Christ. We had our own church, with Debbie and I the Pastors and our kids the flock. Through much prayer, we loved them with Gods love. Debbie and I were not split-able, and our loyalties were not to our own, but to the whole group, and mainly, to each other and to God. We had two more children, which then bound everyone by blood anyway. But this once fractured group was molded by God into a wonderful unit full of unity and love. God taught me as the head how to serve every person down to the two year old. God also taught me how to defer and to submit to my wife as an able leader, with her wielding His authority. To this day, our family, now with 17 grandchildren, and 6 additional sons and daughters as in-laws, are a wonderful, God fearing, God loving group. We added in the in-laws as our own, and we would not have blind loyalty to our own over their spouse. What I am saying is we inserted Gods ways into the family, and we know first hand that the Universal Church template works, shown to us by Jesus and the Apostles, and instituted by God. Any family, blended or not, or any local church functioning in the same principles will thrive. Bless the name of Jesus forever!
