DELTA 2015 ELECTION ORUBEBE HIRES FOREIGN CONSULTANT. Orubebe is said it have engaged the services of an international political consulting firm to boast his electoral chances in the upcoming Delta 2015 elections. .Orubebes media campaign team led by one Augusta are strategising to come back , said a source in his camp . Augusta is barrister and counsel in USA, She is in Nigeria at the moment ,She once ran election under one local political party and failed .It said that company’s track record can not be seen in political climate similar to Nigeria . Orubebe was one of four ministers recently sacked from the federal cabinet. A lot of stories reported that the ministers were sacked by the president. Orubebe however flatly denies that. Mr. Orubebe has been accused of corruption .The former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe, who was sacked has declared his intention to contest the Delta State governorship election in 2015. Mr .Chief EK Clark, highly respected grand dad of Delta state politics and one of the right hand men of President Jonathan was said not to have hidden his displeasure on Mr Orubebe and his corrupt tendencies as it concerns his role in the East West road contract.Those who know Chief E.K Clark will confirm that he has been a major voice in the political space since the return of Democracy in 1999 and even more so when President Goodluck Jonathan went to Aso Rock in 2007 (as Vice President ). Former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Dino Melaye has praised the sack of Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, describing it as the long-needed opening.He has only used his position to corruptly enrich himself. Orubebe we know do not come from a wealthy background that could have afforded the flamboyant life he currently lives. Orubebe former has been at the centre of high profile fraud, malfeasance and corruption allegations in the Ministry of Niger Delta affairs following award of billions of naira contract for the construction of the East West Highway in the Niger Delta. Elder Orubebe, who recently declared his intention to contest in the 2015 Delta state governorship race, has been in the spotlight for his display of stupendous wealth since joining the administration of Jonathan .I do not subscribe to leadership by zoning, since I believe in voting in the best candidate. But if the PDP which Orubebe claims to belong to supports zoning; Orubebe who comes from the Delta South should drop his already lost governorship ambition, since Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan is almost through with the south tenure. Any attempt to force his way using monies to get the ticket of the party will be a betrayal of the highest order.As the 2015 election draws to a close, there is no doubt that Orubebe has stolen enough money to buy the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to see to the realization of his mission, but Deltans will not be deceived any longer ,Of course, money will not decide this election as the masses are wiser. Only rugged campaigns and good antecedents will .
