DELTA OSHOBE 2015 PROJECT Welcome Address by Chief Olori Magege at the Consultative Meeting convened by Delta Oshobe 2015 a group dedicated to the declaration for and ultimately the emergence of Dr Festus Okubor as the 2015 Governor of Delta State at Agbarho, Ughelli North on Saturday 23rd August 2014. Today marks a milestone in our efforts to convince Dr Festus Okubor an eminent Deltan to take a shot at the Government House Asaba 2015. I consider myself a very lucky man to host this august and esteemed body of PDP stalwarts from across the three senatorial districts in this Delta Oshobe 2015 Project. I welcome all of you to Agbarho. That Agbarho in Urhobo land is hosting the inaugural meeting of Delta Oshobe 2015 Project is very auspicious. Agbarho is the oldest Democracy in this part of the world practicing a brand of democracy rooted on equity and justice. For over sixty years Agbarho apex leadership position, the President General, has been rotated in a four year tenure-ship between its two sub-clans and within the villages in each sub-clan and within quarters in the village. Ladies and gentlemen it takes forty four years for the Presidency of Agbarho to complete one circle of four year tenure-ship among its eleven villages. The result is a very prosperous and internally peaceful community in Urhobo. Welcome to the home of zoning. We are all gathered here for one purpose; to find a way, to fashion a method, to script a language that will convince Dr. Festus Okubor to throw his hat into the political fray for the highest political office in our state. We want him to run for the governorship slot because he is eminently qualified. He has held all the key positions in government, all but the governorship and its deputy. You will find all these very rare qualifications in his profile which has been given to you. I have said in several media that Dr Okubor is the next governor of the state. I have made similar prophesies on several guber elections across the country in time past, over ten so far and published months and years before the elections. None has failed to date. Okubor’s will not be an exception. We will deliberate on several issues today on the way forward to getting Dr Okubor to run the race. We will answer your questions and quench your doubts. We will dissuade your fears and reinforce your faith. At the end of the meeting we will issue a communiqué calling on all Deltans of goodwill to call on Dr Okubor to come and take the bull by the horn.
