DELTA UNITED ENDORSES TONY OBUH FOR GOVERNOR, AS POLITICAL POWER BROKERS LED BY CHIEF AYIRIMI OMAMI MOBILIZES TO ACTUALIZE PDP VICTORY AT THE POLLS. The Coast is now clear in political permutations as to who succeeds multiple award winning and exceptionally versatile Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Iweta Uduaghan, come May 29, 2015 as political power brokers and core stakeholders in Delta politics have concluded that Tony Chuks Obuh, a Permanent Secretary (Government House), who is due to retire soon, is the ultimate choice and PDP anointed technocrat whose wealth of experience is required to move Delta State to the next level. To put paid to speculations, PDP political actor and quintessential politician, Chief Ayirimi Omami convened a meeting of all PDP leaders/Elders, Legislators, Caretaker Committee Chairmen, Women Leaders and PDP LGA Candidates for the October 25 elections at Asiwaju Henry Baros castle in Warri on Sunday August 17 to formally endorse Tony Obuh as the Crown Prince and political heir apparent to succeed Gov. Uduaghan on May 29, next year. The event which was well attended by PDP core strategists and prime political actors had in attendance; Delta State House Leader, Hon. Monday Igbuya, Hon. Jaro Egbo (compared the event superbly), Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite (Ethiope East PDP LGA Candidate), Hon. Onoriode Sunday (Ethiope East CareTaker Chairman), and several other political heavyweights and prime party faithful. The meeting directed all loyal PDP members across the State and stakeholders in the affairs of Delta State should immediately re-direct their political machinery and resources towards the victory of Obuh both at the party primaries and during the main elections in 2015. It will be recalled that before now rumours made the rounds that Tony Obuh is likely to be the anointed one for the Guber Race. It is no longer rumour but a FACT that his choice at this time will ultimately move Delta State forward politically in terms of fairness, equity and good conscience. In the political history of Delta State, two Urhobo Governors and one Ishekiri has occupied the Government House, Asaba. Chief Felix Ibru and Chief James Ibori from Delta Central Senatorial District, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan from Delta South Senatorial District and now Tony Obuh from Delta North Senatorial District, respectively. With the endorsement of Obuh, the three Senatorial Districts would have been given the opportunity to rule the state. Tony Obuh hails from Agbor in Delta North Senatorial District of Delta State. He has been described as a loyal and forthright technocrat whose charming personality, character and pedigree places him far above other Guber Aspirants. He is happily married with Children. I was privileged to attend this meeting via the political enthusiasm of the Oniemor of Agbon Kingdom, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite. I pledge my absolute loyalty to PDP and the entire structures of DELTA UNITED, leaders and the Secretariat. I promise to work tirelessly with the Secretariat towards the attainment of this laudable Guber Project.
