DICK CHENEY BIOGRAPHY I watched this Saturday. It was great. Cheney is like the rest of us. Some good. Some bad. He’s smart. He’s loyal. He made some huge mistakes. He lied to Dick Armey to get support for the Iraq War. He pushed the NSA program which is in the news now. He pushed for the Libby pardon which alienated him to this day from Bush. I don’t think people realize he and Bush have a fractured relationship. It got so bad, Bush stopped taking his calls or meeting him. However, Cheney’s general attitude about fighting terrorism is true. He also probably had more power than any VP, especially the first six years. He’s a grumpy dude. All in all, I like him. I know he destroyed John Edwards in the debate. Obama doesn’t have anyone who can touch Cheney. You may not know, Cheney had issues after high school. Arrests. Misconduct. Flunked out of Yale. Lynn, his wife, said get it together or I won’t marry you. He listened. Men. Don’t we all know the power of our wives? Youngest Chief of Staff (36) in history under Ford. Rumsfield was his boss back in Nixon’s day. By having Rumsfield at Defense, Cheney ran Defense.
