DIES TOMORROW, THURSDAY!! Brooklyn Center. WHAT A LOVE & ONLY A BABY! Sophia is a ten-month-old little nugget who arrived at Brooklyn ACC as a stray and will die tomorrow if a foster or adopter cannot be found. A volunteer writes: Sophia! The name conjures up images of Italian actresses or presidents daughters. This Sophia arrived as a stray... very thin and covered in her own filth. So while she might not be as glamorous as her namesakes, Sophia is just as beautiful! She has an incredibly sweet, expressive face and her ears fold in just the right spot. She certainly needs more meat on her bones, but its apparent what a graceful silhouette she has. When I go to take Sophia out she is not quite sure about the lasso - offering me lots of play bows and tail wags as she dodges it! Once outside she is happy to relieve herself and explore. She seems to have some housetraining. She is very friendly and affectionate - she loves to be pet and will prop her paws softly on you while savoring the attention. Sophia already knows sit and paw. She is very food motivated, so it shouldnt be hard to put a few more tricks up her sleeve! To boot, she seems curious and friendly when encountering other dogs. Despite apparent recent neglect, Sophia is SUCH an amazing, loving lady. She is so attentive and always checking in with me.... she cant wait to find her (very lucky!) person.
