DILIGENTLY STUDYING THE SCRIPTURES IS WORSHIP Be diligent (study) to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 For centuries Jews considered studying the Tenach - the Hebrew Scriptures the highest form of worship. They felt is was literally humbling or prostrating themselves before God in total submission to the King of the Universe. This was the very essence of Jewish learning. The purpose of this studying was not just to understand, but to actually do. Have you noticed how when the Spirit of God leads you to intensely pursue digging out revelation and truth from the Scriptures, it also puts you in such an attitude of worship, that you are also freely bless the Lord as supernatural light comes and shines on the Word of God. It just puts you into such a place in the Spirit, that you just have to stop and worship and continually bless the Lord. I really love studying. And I absolutely love to worship. And the two are powerfully connected together.
