For anyone curious about more information regarding the Ebola - TopicsExpress

For anyone curious about more information regarding the Ebola virus, the outbreak conditions in Africa, or what the CDC and World Health Organization are hoping to learn and achieve, I strongly encourage you read or follow information from reputable sources. The WHO has a lot of information directly on their website that may be the least sensationalized. Ebolavirus outbreaks have occurred in areas surrounding Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea since 1976, and study of the mother virus from Zaire and its several mutations are the best way to develop life-saving and virus-eradictating treatments. In the early years of study, Ebolavirus infection carried a mortality rate of 90%, meaning that 9 out of 10 people who contracted the virus succumbed to its effects on their bodies. In recent years, with research and treatment study, the mortality rate of Ebolavirus infections has dropped to 60%. Still grave numbers, but a 30% improvement in survival numbers is HUGE progress. Only better numbers can be expected in the near future. Because of virus study and research. This is not about Capitol Hill, or Washington, or presidential administrations. This is global. Please ignore FoxNews, which is usually best in all circumstances anyway.
