To assist us in achieving our goals, we wish to appoint dynamic individuals in the following positions in our head Office in Pretoria: Director: Biotechnology Salary: R 771 306.00 (All inclusive remuneration package) Requirements: • Applicants must be in possession of at least a postgraduate degree of NQF level 7 or BTech / Honours in agricultural or industrial Biotechnology • 6-10 years’ working experience in research, development and/or management of bio-technologies or similar environment • Knowledge of the Biotechnology innovation value chain, the South African National System of Innovation, and a broad awareness of the role and function of the Department • Excellent communication, planning, organisation, negotiation and project management skills • The ability to work individually and in a team, manage staff matters, be analytical, creative, energetic and diplomatic. Duties: • Drive the implementation of agricultural/industrial components of the Bioeconomy Strategy, including programmes, initiatives, and instruments • Analyse the innovation environment and devise and coordinate strategic and policy responses to unfolding challenges • Will be informing and participating in the government operational initiatives of agricultural/industrial Biotechnology. Duties: • Alignment of DST priorities and planning with that of its Science Councils • Providing the DST with support on embracing foresighting as a tool for future planning. Duties: • Develop and revise project plans, methodologies, policies and procedure manuals for IT Audits • Review of general control environment, security audits, application control audits, system development audits, IT governance and continuous auditing • Perform continuous monitoring utilising ACL • Prepare reports on IT audit activities to the relevant stakeholders • Provide consulting engagements for IT development systems • Plan and execute IT Audits as well as normal assurance and advisory functions in accordance with the PFMA and internal audit policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with the ISPPIA and ISACA standards.
