DISCERNEMENT 101: If one really wants to SEE clearly whos who and whats what, then one must turn on the LIGHT. Jesus is the light. John 8:12 - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Therefore, to discern just examine closely. If you dont see the name of Jesus exalted, then you are looking into a walk that is of darkness. If you dont find the Word, which is also Jesus. [The Word became flesh – John 1], scripture (with understanding)…the very thing that Jesus used to combat Satan’s attacks…if there is no Word or hunger for the Word, there is no Jesus, and you are looking into a walk that is of darkness. Back to John 8:12 with emphasis on the last word ...but will have the light of LIFE.” Life and death is in the power of the tongue. Life and death cannot coexists. One who is in light of LIFE, can absolutely under no circumstances speak death, discouragement, or disown anyone that partakes in the same death, burial, and resurrection that they claim to share with Jesus Christ. Operative word is “claim”. So when and if you hear death spoken…specifically over a fellow believer, you quite possibly looking into a walk that is of darkness. But, if one is not looking for such a claim, then one isn’t really interested in DISCERNMENT, now are we? Then beloved, we have a whole nother’ issue. :) 1 John 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
