DISTRACTED CHURCH While the church argues over such things as baptism, which day to worship and if you dont do things the way I do you cant be saved, the enemy is sneaking in the back door [ sowing ] tares. Matthew 13:25- But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27: So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 29: But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30: Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. 36: Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 38: The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 40: As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Bible is clear about these things: Baptism--Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: this is the words of Jesus, not Peter.. Sabbath-- Colossians 2:16-- Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Jesus is our sabbath...Everyday is to be an holy day. We are not under the law, but under Grace... Saved-- John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God: This is all that is required to be saved. Water Baptism doesnt save, though it is necessary. One can go to heaven without water baptism, such as all the old testament saints: Matthew Chapter 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. AND THE THIEF ON THE CROSS.... Luke 23:43- And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. We need to drop the petty stuff and wake up. The enemy is at our south western border (illegal immigrants}, north western border ( Russia ), south ( Communist Cuba ) and east ( Washington DC ).. AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, THE SLEEPING GIANT ( CHURCH ) NEEDS TO WAKE UP. I respect everyones opinions and ideas, but the WORD doesnt change or compromise. I have lived by the Word ( at least ) tried for 47 years and have often times failed miserably BUT GOD. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: BUT GOD is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it...Blessings........ljl
