[DIV38] Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bariatric Surger/Weight Management Health Psychology: Cleveland Clinic Applications are now being accepted for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery/Weight Management Clinical Health Psychology available September 2, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic, a World Class academic medical center rated among the top 4 hospitals in America. Cleveland Clinic’s Bariatric & Metabolic Institute (BMI) is one of the nation’s premiere clinical programs and is certified as a Center of Excellence by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The BMI, the largest bariatric center in the state of Ohio, has a high level of clinical and research productivity, a diverse patient population, and considerable opportunity for interdisciplinary interaction. Fellows provide comprehensive evaluations and individual and group-based interventions for patients undergoing behavioral weight management and bariatric surgery. Fellows also gain experience in eating disorders treatment, psychological testing, facilitating behavior change, smoking cessation, and increasing adherence in medical populations. Past fellows have had unique opportunities to present at national meetings and publish first-authored research in the field’s highest-tier journals. Our department offers a rich multidisciplinary collaborative environment for fellows interested in the practice of health psychology, research, teaching, and program development. Generous fellowship benefits include: individual and family medical/vision/behavioral health insurance, 3 weeks paid vacation, $48,900 stipend, individual and group supervision (toward licensure, if applicable), weekly didactics, travel stipend to national meetings for presentation of CC research, and free gym membership and wellness program. **Candidates must have completed all requirements for graduation from their APA-accredited Clinical/Counseling Ph.D./Psy.D. program by August 31, 2013 and attend the mandatory fellowship orientation week in early September, no exceptions.** Completion of APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in clinical/counseling or health psychology is preferred; health psychology experience strongly preferred.
