DIVIDED WE FALL; UNITED WE STAND It has always been my desire to live in isolation. To live alone in a forest house, with all the basic necessities of life within my beck and call. It has always been my wish to be in a place that is very far from the chaos of this world . . . But life wasnt designed to be lived that way, nor enjoyed alone; although there are boundaries and limits to sharing. It was designed to be live by warts and all; to share with others based on your capacity; relate with people when the need arises; to admire and appreciate nature; to impact and impart, and be imparted as God will permit. There is a chain of connection that exist between humans. We rely on one another to complete ourselves, yet, we do not need anyone to complete us- thats the irony of life- in all, it is the presence of God in the life of a man that makes he/she complete. So, whether directly or indirectly, our resolves, actions and inaction are functions of some other persons actions or resolve, somehow, somewhere in this life . . . The bottom line is that nobody is an island- we all need one another. Whether Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, christian, muslim et al, WE CANNOT EXIST ALONE- we all need one another. Take for example: A single broom can be broken, and may serve little or no purpose: one may find it near to impossibility using it to sweep. That will not be the case of a bunch of broom sticks- it will sweep (serve its purpose), not easily broken and will stick together... Every family, country has its own unique problem. Despite what were going through, irrespective of the serial bombings, killing, maiming and kidnapping LET US STICK TOGETHER- united we stand, divided we fall. Always remember, no man is an island: I need you, you need me: we need each other.
