DIVINE POTENTIAL! BIBLE READING : ACTS 9:1-31 No person, apart from Jesus himself shaped the history of Christianity like the apostle Paul. Even when he was Saul and before he became a believer, his actions were significant. Saul was very religious. His training under Gamaliel was the finest available. His intentions and efforts were sincere. He was a good Pharisee who knew the Bible and sincerely believed that this Christian movement was dangerous Judaism. Thus Saul hated Christian faith and persecuted Christians without mercy even overseeing the murder of Stephen (Acts 7: 58-60). Sauls personal encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus changed his life. He never lost his fierce intensity but from then on it was channelled for the gospel Only God knows the potential of each believer. We can project what we think God might do in someones life, but we have no way of knowing. We only see the outward appearances and behaviour, whereas God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7) God did not waste any part of Paul-- his background, his training, his citizenship, his mind, or even his weakness. Are we willing to let God do the same for you and me? Be assured that if God could turn the proud and murderous Saul into Paul and one of the greatest saints in history, God is equally capable of redeeming those around us. Never give up on people! Look to see where God is working in their lives;then join God in investing our time,resources and even our life in building up His Kingdom in their hearts, mind and soul. This is the purpose of the Great Commision (Matthew 28:16-20)
