DIY cleaning is one of my favorite things to do. Having a house - TopicsExpress

DIY cleaning is one of my favorite things to do. Having a house with two kids and a husband (so three kids), means that I am going to try to save as much money as I can so we can spread the dollars around. My tub and sink in the kids/my bathroom has been clogged for I dont even know how long. I have tried using Draino, Liquid Plumber, off brand, name brand, you name it to try to unclog these drains, with NO LUCK! So today I decided that I was going to look online for some DIY solutions. I found the perfect one, it requires a little elbow grease, but NO products whatsoever!! For the tub, I unscrewed the drain, took an old stainless steel spoon (one of the cheap ones), bent the spoon into a curve, and scraped the spoon down into the drain to grab the GLOB of hair that was clogging my drain. I am not going to post a picture because frankly its nasty, but I was able to completely get ALL of the blockage out of the drain in just a few minutes! I did the same with the sink, but I had to unscrew the pipe underneath the sink bowl to be able to reach up and unscrew the stopper. But again, I paid $0.00 for this fix and it worked WONDERS! Just thought I would let everyone know just in case there is someone else out there tired of showering in ankle deep water. :)
