DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS ATTAHIYAT [ we pray 5 times in our salat] [ MUST READ TILL END] Attahiyat is a very important Dua we pray in our daily prayers (Namaz). When I learned the importance of it, it melted my heart. Attahiyat is actually a part of the conversation between Allah Subhanawatala and Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) during his (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) journey of Al Isra Wal Miraj. When Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) met Allah Subhanawatala, he (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) didnt say Asalam aleikum. What is someone going to say when he meets Allah Subhanawatala? We cant wish HIM peace because All sources of peace are through HIM. So Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: AttahiyyaatuLillahi Was Salawatu Wattayyibatu All compliments, all prayer and worship are for Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala) Allah Subhanawatala replied: Assalamu Alaika Ayyuhannabi yu Warahmatullahi Wabarkatuhu Peace be upon you, Oh Prophet (Muhammad SallAllahu alayhi wasalam), and Allahs (Subhanahu Wa Taala) mercy and blessings. To this, Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) replied: Assalamu Alaina WaalaIbadillahis Saaliheen Peace be on us and on all good slaves of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala) (Note, when Allah Subhanawatala sent mercy and blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam), he (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) included us in his reply (and on all good salves of Allah Subhanahu wa Taala)). And listening to this conversation between Allah Subhanawatala and His Messenger (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam), the angels said, Ashhaduun La ilahaillallahu I bear witness that no one is worthy of worship except Allah (Subhanahu Wa Taala) Wa Ashhadu Anna MuhammadunAbduhu Wa Rasooluh And I bear witness that Muhammad (SallAllahu alayhi wasalam) is His slave and Messenger SubhanAllah! I understand the importance of this conversation to be included in our daily prayers as if to remind us when and how the Salat was prescribed to us.
