DOG ATTACK DEATH: On Friday Bloomington Dispatch received a 911 call concerning a dog bite and unresponsive child in the 2000 block of Parker Avenue in Bloomington, Illinois. Upon their arrival rescue personnel found a four year old girl with what appeared to be multiple dog bites in the family home. She was unresponsive, treated, and transported to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. The child was pronounced deceased by Emergency Department Staff. Early information suggests that the four year old was at home with a younger sibling and a grandparent when the incident occurred. Three family dogs, described by their owners as pit bulls, have been secured by McLean County Animal Control. Preliminary autopsy results will be released along with the child’s identity later on Saturday. There is no other information available at this time.
