DOING A FACEBOOK LIST, GUYS. So...stop reading now. Tonight, I received at my feet: a gauntlet, hurled by my well-coiffed student, the honorable mssr. Tanner Tanyeri. Now I am rocking that 10 Favorite Books jam...only I did it all wrong, for at least two reasons. I started trying, then started over, settling on books that had some kind of transformative effect on me when I first picked them up. Then I couldnt stop, because gluttony. Ill nominate Adam Fell, Aaron Sleator, Joe Goltz, and Tony Barba (if they want to humor me), because I bet their lists are really cool, AND because I need some new books. The following are not listed in any preferential order (and yes, I know, its way too many...I couldnt justify putting certain books on this list and leaving others out...I started feeling bad for the omitted parties…this is why Im garbage at lists…and I just realized that I didnt even really include any music books, or any serious non-fiction, so theres that…sorry music and real things…and p.s. to all my students asking for that essential music list that i keep promising to compile, i now know that said list will be an utter sprawling catastrophe…enjoy). 1.
