DOING AN “HARAMBEE?? Harambee is not a swahili word but a hindu word meaning A god of strength. These word was first used during the Kenya-Uganda railway line construction,during these time the indians were already in East Africa as sub-contrutors. When they wanted to lift up the metal bars to put them on the line,they used to call their gods. “Haraambee And some Africans who were present during that period later mis-interpreted the meaning saying that it means unity it isnt unity but a name of agod. The following words are common in hindu buildings and vehicles. JAY HAMBEE JAY JARARAM JAY GURU etc. You cannot mix GOD JEHOVAH and other gods because mostly whenever people go for a harambee they usually do the competition on who will give more than the other. Its that evil spirit of being proud that push people to give but not the willingness of the heart.
