Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Thou art the Potter, I am the clay. Mold me and make me after Thy will, While I am waiting, yielded and still. Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Search me and try me, Master, today! Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now, As in Thy presence humbly I bow. Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! (Adelaide Pollard / George Stebbins 1907) This very thought process is what I went through over the past twenty four hours - coming face to face with difficult circumstances and saying to the Lord - I trust you - not my will but Thy will be done - not my way Lord but your way - as long as I / you / we lean on anything other than Jesus - for that same length of time we will come up short - be disappointed / continue in disappointment - yet the very moment we say and begin to walk out - Trust in the Lord with all our hearts - we start to get clarity - we get a deep peace - and its all rooted in trusting in Him - to just rest and say: Have Thine Own Way Lord, Have Thine Own Way - You are the Potter, I am the clay - mold me and make me, after thy will - while I am waiting yielded and still!
