DONT GRADUATE INTO UNEMPLOYMENT Unemployment as a state of having - TopicsExpress

DONT GRADUATE INTO UNEMPLOYMENT Unemployment as a state of having no job is a general phenomenon that Nigeria and most of the world is facing. This menace has made many graduates and youths turn into monsters i.e thugs, armed robbers, etc who instill fear into the hearts of ordinary citizens in broad daylight and in the night. Well, they are not to blame, I observe that they too like every right thinking member of a society will look for means to feed themselves and if the legitimate means isnt available they will certainly opt for unscrupulous means for survival. However, with the high number of graduates our higher institutions of learning are producing every academic session coupled with the unencouraging and unfavourable economic situation of our dear country, its no gain saying that the future of our great country Nigeria is at stake. Its is pertinent to note that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the future of Nigeria is no longer in peril and both the government and the people especially the youths being potential leaders have alot to do in ensuring this. I will like to buttress more on the part of the youths especially the undergraduates. It is high time we all stop looking for white collar jobs because vacancies at our governmental agencies and institutions are few and cant accommodate everyone. We need to start looking for other ways of helping ourselves which are legitimate of course. Therefore, in oder to put an end to high rate of violence and insecurity in our country, I recommend that every youth especially undergraduates to start empowering themselves through skills acquisition. Skill acquisition is good, it has paved way for many and its still doing so. It entails vocations such as interior and exterior decorations, cake making, twain and wireworks amongst others. Dont think these are just petty stuff, theyve made people millionaires already while youre still out there searching for jobs or still thinking about what to do after you graduate from school. You can make it with or without white collar jobs but it takes dedication and hardwork with prayer. Empower yourself today and empower your future. God Bless Nigeria. Share your view. #OTAAsays.
