DON’T MISS THE POINT What is the point of reading the Bible? Many people today murmur and complain, saying, “I read it but my life never changes.” “The Bible is just history; it does not apply to today.” “The Bible is boring and I don’t understand it.” The Bible is not just mere history but the plan of God for your life today. You can read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation but unless you live in the Word, you miss the point. The point is that the Bible is not just a book that can inform but a book that will transform your life if you abide in it and it abides in you. You must live in and act on the Word of God. I mean, you must not only be a hearer but also a doer of the Word. Those who allow God’s Word in the midst of their hearts always have breakthrough; they live a contented life. How do you allow God’s Word in the midst of your heart and live in it? A humble believing soul takes all that Jesus says and does in good faith and puts the best construction on it. Faith is the force that moves our words to work. So, step into faith, stay there and you will be victorious. Acts 17:28, “For in him we live and move and have our being.”
