DON’T PAY FOR FACEBOOK I will be sad to quit using Facebook on July 15th. It’s not the money but the principle. Five dollars a year (or euro equivalent in my case) is not a lot to pay to maintain a profile - or even the 10 if you opt to use their privacy settings rather than tick ‘public’. It just sticks in my craw to be told I’m going to have to pay for something that I’ve had for nothing since I began using it. DON’T PAY, DON’T PAY, DON’T PAY I can see myspace growing again as the new number 1 social networking platform if they persist and go ahead with this plan. I will continue to use FB until the charges apply but will message the friends I’d like to keep with details of the new myspace account I’ll be setting up. Perhaps if enough people write their own posts - or share this - we can get the bean-counters at Facebook to reconsider this foolish plan. Let’s get this VIRAL
