DOROTHY says, Theres no place like home!!! HEARTBREAKING!! Dorothy. Brooklyn, NY. A volunteer writes: You don’t have to go to Kansas to meet Dorothy! Introducing the adorable, scrumptious, 34-pound, 7-month-old puppy, Dorothy. Found as a stray the day after Christmas, I am sure her life has been quite the “tornado” up until this point. She might not have ruby slippers, but her coat is a subtle red and her white paws give the appearance of having little socks on. Though Dorothy is a young gal, she is quite obedient and knows the command “sit.” She takes treats nicely and seems to be interested in and friendly towards other dogs. When I sat down with Dorothy, she would climb into my lap, then jump right out, not quite sure whether or not she was ready for a cuddle, yet. But there is something about her petite body and concerned face that makes me just want to pick her up and squeeze her, despite her shyness. I am sure there’s nothing Dorothy would love more than to click her heals and say, “There’s no place like home!” and wake up to find herself resting comfortably on your bed.
