Every. Single. Word. True. My husband is awesome and in need of a medal, but I am most definitely the default parent. I bought a brand new laptop on Sunday. Its Wednesday, and its still in the box. Why? I havent had the kind of time to myself I need to set it up properly, transfer all my digital shit and install programs and set up firewalls and tracking software for if it gets stolen. All that takes toddler-free time, preferrably uninterrupted 48 hours, but 6 will do if I dont get distracted. I keep track of the school related stuff, I write it on a freaking dry eras calendar that is nailed to the door we all walk in and out of all day long. And its not enough to relieve me of even some of my duties. Not that i hate my job as Mom, far from it. But I *would* like a break some times.
